Unit 1: Individual Showcase: writing a letter of application and creating 2 solo audition pieces
Unit 2: Preparation, Performance and Production: working as a company to create a dance performance

Assessment information
BTEC courses are continually assessed and do not have a formal examination at the end of year 11. Instead pupils are expected to complete smaller assessments throughout the two years.
Unit 1: Individual Showcase (Core unit – externally assessed 30 GLH)
Unit 2: Preparation, Performance and Production (Core unit – internally assessed 30 GLH)
Unit 4: Dance Skills (Specialist skills unit – internally assessed 60 GLH)
